blue jean baby.

The best accessory for a pair of blue jeans is a bold lip (the darker and redder the better) and a not-quite-there top knot. Two things you don't see very often on this blog, in fact I don't think I've ever worn my hair up here. My flat hair has never been ideal for updos.

Boyfriend jeans have been on the rise over the last few years, but finding a pair that balance the right amount of slouchiness with one that gives the illusion of longer legs is tricky. These blue jeans from Mavi have just the right amount of slim and slouch to do just that. Paired these babies back with my IRO jacket that I literally haven't taken off since I bought it a few weeks ago and my new favourite printed tank that still manages to tick my all important monochrome box.

    1. Aww thanks lovely!
I actually have no idea - the girls at Mecca Cosmetica kindly helped me out with my makeup for the day. It's definitely from the Pure Matte Lipstick range from Nars. I have a feeling it was 'Amsterdam'. I asked for a deep red :)

  2. I still can't find a pair of BF jeans (although trying some on might help my cause). Loving the colour of these.

Also - as an aside, how does that leather jacket compare to the Acne Mape? I'm considering the latter.. but then spending all that cash in one hit really makes me uncomfortable! (can you tell I wish they still did lay-by?)

    1. Excuse the chime, but Acne doesn't do lay-by anymore?! It was literally the only way I had the courage to get my Rita. x

    2. I was not aware that Acne stopped lay-bys either! That's terrible news haha.
I haven't tried on the Acne Mape simply because I was afraid if I did, I'd become obsessed/ have to have it and then be extremely poor and in debt for the next few months. I love my IRO - the leather is super soft, lightweight and easy to wear. Highly recommend it as an alternative. I mean it's still exxy but still a quality buy.

  3. We both know how happy I am to see this leather jacket. I love that you wore it with the bun and dark lips!
