I'm in the process of growing my hair out back to its long state (with possible changes to a middle part, no fringe and blunt ends). My motivation has been 'I want to be able to pull my hair into a high bun.' Don't ask me why, maybe it's because I've seen so many tall leggy blondes pull it off or that I just want to be able to pull my hair up and not look bald from the front. It's an easy yet effective look - LC shows us it's party appropriate and still a quick way to whip the hair out of your face on a daily basis. It's also looks classy, a little princess-y and super feminine. To be honest, I'm not really sure how they get it so thick and textured - if it's too large a bun I bet a little family of birds could nest in it. It's probably not going to work with my dead straight, thin Asian hair, because I've rarely had success with the messy bun as it is. I can only hope.
